The second DiVerSitY DAY took place
in November 2008 at Vienna City Hall. together with the City of Vienna and the Viennese School Authority.
3000 young people from Vienna and neighbouring regions in
Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic took part in an action
packed day, with activities as diverse as participants.
The DiVerSitY DAY full-day programme consisted of a stage programme with music,
dance and theatre performances, numerous NGO information stands,
workshops and interactive games.
The Information stands of more than 40 organisations
and NGOs were open for discussions on diversity, equality and fundamental rights.
Visitors were able to try the wheelchair parcours, an asylum seeker role play
and many other challenging experiences, promoting the importance of equal opportunities.
It was an exciting day for all and we look forward to welcoming you once again
at another interesting DiVerSitY DAY at Vienna City Hall on 3 December 2009.

European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) The European Union has come a long way in protecting the human rights of its citizens. However, more needs to be done.
